The LALIZAS Hydrostatic Release Unit (HRU) enables automatic life raft release if a vessel sinks. Activated by water pressure at a depth of 1.5–4 metres, it releases the raft’s securing arrangement, allowing the raft to rise from its cradle, inflate and separate from the sinking vessel.
Designed and manufactured in Greece, this unit is suitable for life rafts with capacities from 4 to 150 people, when installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Features
- Automatic activation: Operates through hydrostatic pressure without requiring manual release during a sinking.
- Durable construction: Made from glass reinforced nylon for protection against corrosion.
- No maintenance required: Requires no routine servicing during its stated service life.
- Tested and approved: Tested and approved by Force Certification A/S.
- European manufacture: Designed and produced in Greece.
