Mariner Water Filter

Based on reliable forward osmosis technology, the Mariner filter is both simple to use and exceptionally reliable, able to filter virtually any available water without clogging. The Mariner is lightweight (154 g) but produces 500ml of a clean, hydrating drink plus 480 calories, critical for a survival situation at sea.

To use, simply place the pouches in the water source. The Mariner filter will swell over time as water flows through the membrane wall into the pouch. Salts and other contaminants are blocked by the 0.0007 micron membrane filter. When finished, simply open the pull-spout and drink. The Mariner can be packaged flat for storage, or rolled for use in flight suit pocket. Designed for one-hand use if necessary.

Use Instructions

1] open package at notches.
2] open cap and blow some air into pouch, to allow powder to drop down.
3] close cap
2] secure filter to life raft or stationary object, then place in water
4] in salt water let hydrate approximately 8 hours, 4 hours in fresh water.
5] filter makes about 450 ml in salt water OR about 1 L in fresh water.
7] drink within 24 hours.

Storage and Shelf Life

EXPIRATION DATE: 5 years after packaging date when stored continuously below 90°F (33°C). If possible, store in cool place and away from direct sunlight.
