Mariner MDX2 Water Filter

The MDX2 (Mariner Desalination Crossover) is a multi-use version of our Mariner brand filter. Based on reliable forward osmosis technology, the MDX2 filter is both simple to use and exceptionally reliable, able to filter virtually any available water without clogging, and provides up to 600 calories per use that are critical to a survival situation.

The MDX2 also hydrates faster than our standard Mariner. To use, simply inject the contents of one syrup bottle and place the pouch in the water source. The MDX2 filter will swell over time as water flows through the membrane wall into the pouch. Salt and other contaminants are blocked by the nominal 0.0007 micron membrane filter. When finished, simply open the spout and drink.

Use Instructions

1] Open package at notches.
2] Remove cap and inject one bottle of nutrient syrup into the filter for salt water; 1/2 bottle for fresh water
3] Close cap
4] Secure filter to life raft or stationary object, then place in water
5] Hydrate 5-8 hours in salt water. ~4 hours for fresh water.
6] Drink within 24 hours
7] To reuse, repeat steps 2-6.

Storage & Shelf Life

EXPIRATION DATE: 5 years after packaging date when stored continuously below 90°F (33°C). If possible, store in cool place and away from direct sunlight.
