Seal Water Filter

Based on reliable forward osmosis technology, the Seal+ Desalination Filter is our most economical desalination filter. It is both simple to use and exceptionally reliable. The SDF+ is able to filter virtually any available water without clogging, plus it provides 200 calories per pouch - critical in a survival situation. The Seal+ can be used in either salt water or fresh water. The Seal+ is light weight and can fit in a backpack, suitcase, or boat survival kit.

To use, simply place pouch(es) in the enclosed mesh bag and submerge the bag in the water source. The Seal+ filter will swell over time as water flows through the membrane wall into the pouch. Salts and other contaminants are blocked by the 0.0007 micron membrane filter. When finished, simply poke with the included straw and drink. The mesh bag can be re-purposed after use.

Use Instructions

1] Open package at notches.
2] Place pouch(es) in included net.
3] Secure net to life raft or stationary object, then place in water
4] In salt water let hydrate approximately 6-8 hours: about 4-6 hours in fresh water.
5] Each filter makes about 250mL of drink in salt water or about 400mL in fresh water.
6] Remove pouch(es) from water when full to avoid leaking. Pouch will swell to about 2/3 full in salt water. In fresh water, it will swell like a full, tight water balloon.

Storage and Shelf Life

EXPIRATION DATE: 5 years after packaging date when stored continuously below 90°F (33°C). If possible, store in cool place and away from direct sunlight.
